    • Either model works well in most settings.

    • We do recommend using the "Classic" model with Buckles and Velcro® when using in special needs applications.

    1. Put a towel around the neck and below the collar of the Comfort Cape® shampoo sink drape. Make sure the collar is against the neck of the customer.(see image below)

    2. Tilt the customer's head back slightly. This helps the collar to fit against the neck (see image below) and will help direct the water onto the Comfort Cape® shampoo sink drape.

    3. Use one hand to guide the hose and cup the other hand along the front hair line to guide water away from the face and toward the back of head and onto the Comfort Cape® shampoo sink drape. (see image below)

    4. Adjust the water pressure so you can rinse the hair while still being able to control the flow of water. Remember, the hose is no longer in the sink and you may need to use less water pressure to more easily control the flow of water.

    5. Purchase a vinyl hair cutting/shampoo cape that is large enough to cover most of the customer.

  • The flexible material and water bumper guides enables the Comfort Cape shampoo sink drape to be shaped around a high back chair or wheelchair headrest. Shape the area between the sides to make a valley to act like a funnel to allow the water to flow into the sink. The chair may need to be moved at an angle for the water to drain into the sink.

  • Since the Comfort Cape® shampoo sink drape is made of soft nylon fabric with adjustable sides, it can be adjusted to fit most sinks.

    • Too Wide - If the bottom and sides do not fit in the sink, move the sides together until they do. The back of the Comfort Cape® may need to be shaped like an accordion to allow the water to flow down and into the sink.

    • Too Long - If the Comfort Cape® is pushing the collar up the person's neck, move the chair away from the sink until the bottom of the Comfort Cape® sits in the sink and the collar is resting against the neck.

    • Too Short - If the bottom of the Comfort Cape® is not below the top of the sink, move the chair closer to the sink and make sure the person is sitting up.

  • With daily use and with proper care the Comfort Cape® shampoo sink drape can last for years of use.

  • Yes. We recommended wetting the shampoo drape before coloring your customer's hair. This may reduce discoloration of the Comfort Cape® shampoo sink drape.

  • Yes, the shampoo sink drape is hands free for both the customer and the stylists.

  • Our shampoo sink drape can easily be cleaned by rinsing with water. Be sure to let air dry by using a hanger to avoid odors and mildew.

    Do NOT put it in a machine washer or dryer.

What things can I do to keep my customer dry?

Put a towel around the neck and below the collar of the Comfort Cape® shampoo sink drape.

Important: Make sure the collar of the Comfort Cape® shampoo sink drape is against the neck of your client.

Use a towel below the collar and make sure the collar is firmly against the neck to keep your clients dry

Tilt your client’s head back slightly to help seal the neck and collar against the neck.

This helps the water to flow down the back of the head and onto the Comfort Cape® shampoo sink drape and down into the sink.
