The Comfort Cape® shampoo sink drape was born from a need to make a high-quality shampoo aid. Our mother, a licensed beautician worked in a long-term care facility and needed something that was hands-free, soft and flexible to wash her customer’s hair. A hands-free shampoo aid was essential since many of her patrons were unable to hold a hard plastic shampoo tray. It had to be soft and comfortable so her customers would not tug on the shampoo aid. The shampoo aid had to be flexible and very durable so it could be shaped and used in situations with complicated medical devices and geriatric chairs without being damaged.
In our family’s living room our mother designed and sewed her first shampoo sink drape. After several trials, she settled on a design that was made of a soft, flexible, and durable material that draped into the sink. Our mother used our Comfort Cape® shampoo sink drape for a number of years. Many of her colleagues liked and bought the shampoo sink drape. They liked the unique design, ease of use and the increased efficiency in their salon. Our innovative mother felt that others could benefit from her Comfort Cape® shampoo sink drape. She started selling our shampoo sink drape at beauty shows and mailings. Today, our whole family is involved and you will find the Comfort Cape® shampoo sink drape in thousands of homes, hair salons, rehabilitation centers, senior care facilities and cosmetic surgical centers.
